Commercial Grade Cabanas

At Shelter Outdoor, we offer commercial grade outdoor cabanas in freestanding or wall-mounted options. Available in both square and rectangular configurations, these striking outdoor shelters feature manually operated roof covers and perimetric openings for optimal light and air flow. Because of their modular design, the cabanas can be customized to provide shade to virtually any size area.

Poolside Cabanas and More

Our poolside cabanas offer the ideal space for comfort and relaxation on a sunny day. The outdoor cabanas can also be used in restaurants, hotels, golf courses, parks, and many other outdoor commercial settings.

Looking for a cabana for your backyard? These versatile structures can make a valuable addition to your residential property, enhancing your outdoor living space while providing a comfortable area for guests to relax and socialize.

Durable Outdoor Cabana Design

Our cabanas feature a bioclimatic design with powder coated aluminum or steel for resistance against UV rays, scratches, corrosion, and chipping. And because they feature retractable awnings with PVC inserts, you can easily control the amount of sunlight entering the space.

If you prefer not to wall mount your cabana, we offer several options for anchoring it to the ground. Choose from external footing, internal footing, or sand footing for stable and durable mounting.

Whether it’s for a commercial location or for your own backyard oasis, a cabana can extend the seasons for outdoor enjoyment.

Customize Your Outdoor Cabana

All of our cabanas can be complemented with optional accessories like side screens, decorative drapes, and remote-controlled LED strip lighting. In addition, the frames are available in a variety of color options including dark brown, dove grey, special grey, and white. Custom RAL colors are also available upon request. Canopies are available in white, grey, champagne, and dove grey.

“Up” Series Cabanas

Our original “Up” series cabanas are available as roof-only units that mount to an existing structure. This classic series is available with a smooth or matte textured metal frame. These robust outdoor cabanas feature manually operated sliding tarp covers and a standard height of 8’ 3”.

“Arcadia” Series Cabanas

Shelter Outdoor is pleased to introduce its Arcadia series. These modern cabanas are prefabricated to specified dimensions and feature manual Roman-style roofs that lock into place with magnet sockets.

If used as a freestanding unit, an Arcadia cabana can gracefully conceal bolt-down footings in its vertical posts. Along with other mounting options, this series can also be anchored with Horizon flooring using a weighted ballast.

One of the standout features of this new series is its integrated rain gutter (available in the “Arcadia K” line). The rain gutter channels water to a designated upright post, where it funnels out through the bottom.

Arcadia cabanas are offered with a 4-post maximum dimension of 19’-8’’ W X 16’-4’’ L X 8’-3’’H for a single roof.

Cabana FAQs

  • What is an outdoor cabana?

An outdoor cabana is a covered hospitality structure designed to create a defined space for relaxation, dining, VIP seating, or guest amenities. Shelter Outdoor cabanas combine shade, comfort, and modern design to elevate the guest experience while maximizing outdoor space.

  • What is a pool cabana?

A pool cabana is a shaded structure placed near a pool to provide guests with a comfortable retreat from direct sun while offering a more upscale outdoor experience. Shelter Outdoor pool cabanas are ideal for hospitality properties seeking premium rentable seating, private lounging areas, food and beverage service zones, or branded VIP spaces around the pool.

  • Cabana vs pergola for poolside: which should I specify?

A cabana defines a private, enclosable retreat — ideal for VIP service, rentable poolside experiences, or branded amenity spaces — while a pergola creates an open, shaded social space for general guest use. If you’re a hospitality property looking to add a premium, rentable product to your poolside offering, a cabana is the right call. Shelter Outdoor cabanas (the original “Up” Series and the newer Arcadia Series) feature manually operated roof covers and can be customized with side screens, decorative drapes, and remote-controlled LED strip lighting. If you’re looking to extend a patio, dining area, or lounge into an architecturally refined open-air space, our aluminum pergolas are a better fit — open, sleek, and complementary to all styles of furniture. Many resorts deploy both: cabanas as a revenue-generating amenity, pergolas as a comfort feature woven into the larger outdoor footprint.

  • Freestanding vs wall-mounted shade structures: how do you choose?

Choose freestanding when your installation needs to sit away from a building — open pool decks, courtyards, garden patios, or anywhere a structure may need to be relocated in the future. Choose wall-mounted when you want to save footprint, extend off an existing facade, or integrate the structure into the building’s architectural lines. Shelter Outdoor offers both across nearly every product family. Our cabanas come in freestanding or wall-mounted configurations; our P4 cantilever umbrella is a wall-mounted model that swings and tilts; our P7 Uno is a rotating wall-mounted cantilever; our pergolas and sail shades are available freestanding or anchored to existing structures. Mounting options across the line include direct anchoring, ballast-based Horizon flooring, and concealed in-ground footings that disappear into the vertical posts for a clean architectural finish.
